"I’m running for City Council because I believe I can truly make a difference."
I have a strong desire to see things change for the better and to put people first. I believe the citizens of Redding deserve to know exactly where and how their tax dollars are being spent. I also believe they need to know how fortunate we are to have the great employees working for the City to protect and support us. They too are valued tax paying members of this community.

PUT PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST
There is a difference between the important and the essential when it comes to allocation of precious tax dollars. There are tough choices to be made. During times of recession important city services may fall by the wayside. Essential services must not be degraded to support other important but not as important programs. Laying off police and firefighters to satisfy political objectives is unacceptable. I will always put public safety first.

PUBLIC SAFETY
“Supporting fire and police agencies is critical to reduce emergency response times. Citizen Safety should not be jeopardized! Our essential services are provided by public employees. These hard working employees help us obtain low utility rates, clean water, proficient sanitation services, and safe neighborhoods. Until the economy improves, there will be fewer employees, their workloads will increase. Pay and benefits should be negotiated with respect and appreciation for all concerned.”
