Captain Edward Levirgil Andrews, IV

Redding Fire Captain Ed Andrews passed away the morning of May 14, 2007, while doing what he loved, running as he prepared for the upcoming fire season.

Ed was born in Redding, California on February 4, 1954. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1972. He has been an active member of the fire service since 1974, and was a 21 year veteran of the Redding Fire Department.

He was also very involved with the Redding Little League program and spent many hours maintaining and building baseball fields here in Redding. Captain Andrews loved the outdoors, working on his property, skiing Mt. Shasta, boating at the lake, teaching his classes, coaching baseball, and most of all just being with people.

Thank you Ed for all the love, laughs, advice and the wisdom you have given so many people.
